SSD/HDD firmware version easily ?

The easiest way is to use the following WMIC command:

Press Win-R


Type CMD and press <enter> to open command prompt window


Type 
wmic diskdrive get caption, firmwarerevision
and press <enter>

This method is working well with Dell Laptops and Desktops and tested by tech Support Professionals who resolve issues daily.

3rd Party tools, for example Crystal Disk or HDTune provide the firmware information as well, but require download and installation.
